Age Range

Age guides

According to the department for children, schools and families a little person is classed as an infant up to the age of 24 months, and a toddler from the time they start to walk (approximately around 12 months of age, but this varies from child to child) up to 36months. Early years are classed as the first 5 years of life.

For the puposes of this website we have classed toys into babies and toddlers those suitable for little people aged less than 3 and older children and beyond, suitable for 3+.  Toys in the babies and toddlers category have age recommendations which vary from 0yrs up to 2 yrs, please check the decription for suitability. Toys not intended for children under 36 months

Toys that might be dangerous for children under 36 months of age must have a warning, together with a brief indication of the specific risks. This provision does not apply to toys that are manifestly unsuitable for children under 36 months.
