Heimess products can be cleaned with warm water. As with all wooden toys, Heimess toys do wear with use, but this does not dimish their safety. Only native woods, nickel-free metal pieces, formaldehyde-free glue and child safe paints and dyes are used in the manufacture of Heimess products. Wood is mildly antiseptic and thus may diminsh the proliferation of bacteria in comparisson to other materials
